Grand Slam Accommodations

Being an intrepid traveler to remote destinations does not mean you have to rough it! No mosquito netting needed here. Hot showers and A/C. Although Punta Allen generates its own electricity -  it has limited service during the day and none at night - we have installed our own redundant power plants with two Honda generators to provide A/C and power during the nights when needed and also a solar charging inverter system.

Being at the end of the road, deep in the heart of the jungle posed many problems with logistics and available services. Lupita and I have worked very hard to make our accommodations top notch with an eye for beauty and functionality.

I have drawn on my travel experiences to remote destinations for creative solutions to help make Club Grand Slam a place you will be comfortable, feel at home in, and want to return to, time and time again.

For example, our Grand Slam Suite is fitted for comfort with air conditioning, ceiling fans, tiled floors, sitting room with locally made furniture, fly tying table, refrigerator for drinks and snacks, your choice of two single or one queen bed with firm Sealy mattress, a full library of my favorite fishing and nature books, internet service, rod racks, and private full bathroom with hot water and high water pressure. All tastefully decorated by Lupita with a Maya influence.

Lupita's garden is filled with flowering plants and palms for shade. We have over thirty varieties of flowering plants. Many are only found elsewhere in the deepest portions of the Sian Ka'an jungle. Relax in the shade with a book and watch the many species of birds that visit daily. Including the endangered Toucan during the fall months.
