Brad's Permit Kiss
June 2010
Brad puts the pieces togeather for his Grand Slam, after traveling the world and fishing in the best locals on Mother Earth. All the planets alighned with great casts and willing fish one day special. Grand Slams never get easier and they never mean less. I still have never had the, 'Super Slam.' Brad was a hook set away!  Only in Ascension Bay with top guides.

Johan from South Africa
May 2010
Journeying to Ascension Bay, Mexico, in June July, and August to escape the winter weather of South Africa has been a tried and true adventure for many of our regular visitors. They know that we have the finest fly angling on the planet and that no distance is too far to travel for first class angling.

The DS Gang Reacts Revenge
May 2010
After a five year absence, DS and his posse returned and only complained about a loose handle on the toilet. (If you don't tell us, we can't fix it!!). Maybe he was miffed about loosing a permit over thirty pounds. They did manage to land some wonderful fish and had outstanding weather. See for yourself.

Brown Bros. Terrorize Tarpon
April 2010
The Brown boys spent a couple of days hammering on teenage tarpon, snook, and bonefish in the back of the bay. They were up the creek, but definitely had a paddle!

JayCee scores on bonefish
March 2010
Miami based JC scores his first unassited bonefish on fly. Although living in Florida, he spent his Spring Break away from the Florida winter fish kill and cold weather, and sight casting and landing bonefish in our wonderful fishery.

Danes Invade Mexico: Declare War

March 2010

What can you say about two crazy Vikings? Only that they are crazy about Ascension Bay and sight casting to big fish in tropical waters.

Chilito's First Bonefish

February 2010

Mickey and his father spent a few days chasing bonefish and escaping the cold, winter weather of the U.S.. Mickey had never fly fished before and managed to land a ton of fish and also score a new nickname. 'Chilito,' means little chili pepper and he was christened after showing his affinity for hot sauce.

New Ascension Bay Bonefish Record

February 2010

A perfect time and a perfect cast equated to a new Women's bonefish record for this lucky lady! Who says that Ascension Bay bonefish are small? Maybe competing destinations that want you to think such nonsense. Having fished multiple times in Belize, Los Roques, and other exotic locales it only took one cast for Kris to nail down her biggest bonefish ever and a new Ascension Bay Women's record bonefish on fly. This beautiful gal landed a 25' inch, Santa Rosa bone that weighed 8.75 pounds using a new secret fly. You are my hero!

The Graff Bros tag team Ascension Bay Snook and Bonefish

January 2010

The Brothers Graff pulled off a week of great fishing. Scoring some beautiful bonefish and snook while wading the flats of Ascension Bay. Monster low tides pushed the big snook out onto the flats where they could be stalked in skinny water while sight casting.

Stacy Brothers teach Ascension Bay a few new tricks

January 2010

Simon and Richard may have thought the ice age had arrived with record low temps hitting Punta Allen and Ascension Bay, but the fish gods had some incredible fishing in store for them. Over the week they released lots of bonefish, snook, jacks, and cudas.

Santa arrives a little late to Ascension Bay's Club Grand Slam

December 2009

Doc Phil and his lovely fiancé Loly spent a week experiencing saltwater fly fishing for the first time. Although experienced fly anglers, this was their first foray into saltwater and they had great success. The late breaking news is that Phil proposed to Loly on the flight home! Maybe a honeymoon in Punta Allen?

Thanksgiving Day Parade of Fish

November 2009

Tom and Mary visited for a few day with their wonderful daughter Mia prior to Turkey Day. Mia and the folks had a wonderful full day trip to the Maya ruins of Muyil and fishing/snorkeling their way back to Club Grand Slam. They then spent a few days honing their skills in the flats of Ascension Bay with Tom scoring his first ever tarpon on fly, Mary making her first notch for bonefish on fly, and daughter Mia deciding that she wants to get rid of her normal bed and sleep in a hammock forever! Great job guys.
